THE POINT

Coal ash and slag are not a cost — they are feedstock already mined, hauled and concentrated. The project shows how to monetize it: a construction product on the first loop, metals on the second.

The site is in the Tula Region, next to Cherepetskaya GRES. The base product is high-strength expanded clay from ash-slag waste. A parallel loop recovers rare, scattered and precious metals from a matrix already opened by industrial firing.

THREE LOOPS

K-1

Construction loop

High-strength expanded clay from integrated ash-slag processing. It substitutes natural aggregate in concrete and cuts rebar use — a product with structural demand.

K-2

Metals technopark

Selective recovery of Li, Sc, Nd, Dy and precious metals. The feedstock is already opened at 1100–1600 °C — extra CAPEX is not comparable with a classic rare-earth mine.

Energy loop

Gasification of unburnt carbon: syngas for on-site power. Tied to layer-by-layer mapping of ash-slag composition.

THE INDUSTRIAL CONTOUR

A processing plant is machine tools, lines, dust, heat, force-torque and metrology. Principled talks on machinery support sit under Key events. A live site where industrial sensors run in a real process — not on a bench.
